Welcome to Legacy Ranch: Built for Horses, Honed by Experience, Ready for You
"This is where we got most things right.
And now, it’s ready for the next dream to take root."
Welcome, friend.
I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. This blog isn’t your typical “house for sale” site — and Legacy Ranch isn’t your typical property. If you're dreaming of a Colorado horse property that feels like home the moment you arrive… you're in the right place.
After decades of riding, mucking stalls, repairing fences, and caring for horses — many of them on properties built by others — I finally had the chance to design one from the ground up. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just what works.
And I got to name it after my heart-horse, King. This is his legacy — and mine. Legacy Ranch is where horses and people came together for more than just riding. It’s where we hosted leadership retreats and business workshops, practiced equine-assisted learning, and watched transformation happen in the quietest, most powerful ways.
Horses lived well here. People thrived. And yes, we laughed and cried and sometimes just stood in silence watching the sun set over Pikes Peak while a horse grazed nearby.
Now it’s your turn.
In this blog, I’ll walk you through the spaces that made this life possible — from the barn to the sunroom, from the paddock to the primary suite. I’ll show you not just what’s here, but why it matters.
Because if you’re a fellow horse lover, I know what’s on your mind:
Does the layout make daily care easier?
Is there room to grow?
What kind of fencing did they use?
Is it too far from town?
I’m here to answer all those questions — and maybe even inspire you to dream a little bigger.
If Legacy Ranch feels like it might be calling to you, I invite you to explore further. You can view the full listing here: https://www.homes.com/property/8755-mcclelland-rd-calhan-co/c228pe7cvnrfj/
Thanks for stopping by. There’s so much more to show you.
